RCS is not part of Conti Partner and operates on it’s own as an added benefit to consumers who wish to purchase products on credit. Conti Partner suggests that you apply on-line for your RCS approval. In-store application is available, but it is better to enter the store with peace of mind regarding your credit purchase and with the knowledge of how much you can spend.

What does it cost to use a RCS card?
 

Monthly Transaction Fee: A monthly transaction fee of R2.90 will be charged to your account. No additional hidden fees or charges once the account is opened.

Interest: Interest is payable for purchases on 12 and 24 months budget plan. The 35% per annum interest rate is less than 3% per month. Interest is only charged for the duration of the outstanding balance. Should you wish to settle the account early, no penalties are incurred.

 
What other benefits do I get from using the RCS card?
 

Free Account Insurance: By simply using the card, you can enjoy the free added benefit of our comprehensive Account Insurance. This provides protection against the fraudulent use of your card should you lose it, which means that you will not be charged for any amount spent on your card after you have reported it missing.

Account Insurance also provides cover in the event of death as stated below:
R2000 will be paid to your estate* Up to R2000 of the outstanding balance on your account will be settled* If you are under 40, these benefits will be paid in the event of your accidental death, If you are over 40 these benefits will be paid irrespective of your cause of death.

 
Why must the merchant charge an extra percentage if I use my RCS account?
 
Purchases on a RCS account is not treated as cash. Merchants may choose to add a maximum of 5% to a RCS purchase. This is negotiable; please speak to your merchant about this.
